When
evaluating the value of refractive surgery, please consider
the costs of alternative treatments. For instance, the
approximate annual cost for contact lenses, solutions,
insurance and periodic replacement is $500. Additionally,
the approximate costs for glasses can run at least $150.When
considering the relative value of refractive surgery,
a decrease or elimination of these costs adds to the value
of the procedure.
Prior
to any surgery, it is vital for all potential candidates
to have a comprehensive eye examination including refraction.
This consultation is complimentary. The exam includes
computerized topography analysis of the cornea, medical
eye evaluation (includes refraction), dilated exam and
refractive surgery risk/benefit review.

visits and medications. It is customary in medical
offices that elective procedures be paid in full prior to

money down and low payments. As this procedure is still
considered elective surgery, most insurance companies do
not offer this as a covered benefit. However, we will gladly
